About the Opportunity:

The Senior Accountant role is responsible for managing all accounting procedures to ensure the financial health of the organization. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, thereby contributing to the organization''s overall financial stability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cost accounting and related duties.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Code invoices, establish new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and verify deposits monthly.
  • Manage reconciliation of cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and accounts receivable collections.
  • Verify and process payments for accounts payable.
  • Assist external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation.
  • File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Coordinate with software vendors to maintain and improve accounting software systems.
  • Oversee purchasing and invoicing systems.
  • Stay updated on accounting practices and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Over five years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with internal and external audits.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Expensify.
  • Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Base annual salary range: $105,000 to $115,000, adjustable based on qualifications.
