Security Engineer at RemoteHunter
About the Opportunity:
A skilled Security Engineer is sought to join the Security Operations team, focusing on overall business security. The role involves managing information security solutions and monitoring systems for intrusion.
Responsibilities
- Partner with technical teams to secure software solutions and infrastructure
- Collaborate with Security Operations Team to build, administer, and support cybersecurity solutions
- Use IT automation and AI models in daily tasks
- Build and secure AI / LLM-based technologies for various business cases
- Provide technical security support to IT staff
- Design systems following best practices and create supporting documentation
- Stay current with cybersecurity developments and enhance security posture
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, SASE, SOAR
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in information security
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of network communication protocols (OSI model)
- General knowledge of database security and encryption (in transit and at rest)
- Familiarity with authentication services like Active Directory, Okta
- Experience implementing security controls across system types
- Relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or similar) are beneficial
- Strong understanding of network security, data protection, server/container security, and application security
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex security concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field preferred

Compensation
Hiring pay range: $75,000 USD to $115,500 USD base salary. Actual salary may vary based on education, experience, and other factors. Participation in annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.
