Security Engineer

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join a Security Operations team, with a primary focus on enhancing overall business security. This role involves comprehensive management of information security solutions and continuous monitoring of systems for potential intrusions.

Responsibilities of the Security Engineer

• Partner with various technical teams to ensure the security of software solutions and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Team to build, administer, and provide support for critical cybersecurity solutions.
• Integrate IT automation and AI models into daily security tasks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and secure AI / LLM-based technologies tailored for various business applications.
• Offer expert technical security support to IT staff across the organization.
• Design secure systems in adherence to industry best practices and generate comprehensive supporting documentation.
• Proactively stay informed about the latest cybersecurity developments and continuously work to strengthen the organization's security posture.

Requirements

• Possess deep knowledge and practical experience with security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, SASE, and SOAR.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the field of information security.
• Demonstrated experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of network communication protocols, particularly the OSI model.
• General knowledge of database security principles, including encryption for data in transit and at rest.
• Familiarity with authentication services like Active Directory and Okta.
• Proven experience implementing robust security controls across diverse system types.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are highly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of network security, data protection, server/container security, and application security.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex security concepts to various audiences.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a closely related field is preferred.

Compensation

The hiring pay range for this position is $75,000 USD to $115,500 USD base salary. Please note that the actual salary may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and other relevant qualifications. This role also includes participation in an annual bonus plan or a role-based sales incentive plan.
