Job Description
About the Opportunity
The organization is a global leader in engineering services, providing R&D and engineering support across various industries including autonomous vehicles and robotics. As a Scrum Master, you will coordinate Agile development teams, oversee the software development lifecycle, and facilitate scrum activities to ensure efficient project execution.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate scrum activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure breakdown of work into substories, tasks, spikes, etc.
- Assist in building the schedule for deliverables and perform resource mapping/loading.
- Identify if additional resources are required and balance resource allocation strategically.
- Collaborate with clients or end users to understand business requirements.
- Act as liaison between development teams and product management to uphold project processes.
- Identify and remove impediments to development and scrum processes.
- Manage backlog and team processes.
- Escalate risk issues beyond the development group to higher management levels.
- Drive the team to meet goals and milestones, proactively addressing delays.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in an engineering field with a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
- Hands-on Scrum Master experience with cross-functional Agile teams in:
- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Electronics, Embedded Systems & Mechatronics
- Software Development & Validation / Testing
- Functional Safety
- Proficiency with scrum tools such as JIRA.
- Preferred Certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
