The Opportunity: QA Analyst
As a QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role within the Engineering team, ensuring product quality and stability through diligent manual and automated testing. Your responsibilities will include developing test cases, executing regression tests, documenting defects, and validating fixes in a dynamic fintech environment. This role demands collaboration with developers and fellow QA engineers to maintain high standards across mobile and web platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test plans, test cases, and scripts for both frontend and backend systems.
- Perform functional, smoke, regression, and exploratory testing across mobile and web platforms.
- Identify, meticulously document, and track defects using industry-standard tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Run automated test scripts and thoroughly analyze outputs to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate effectively with QA Engineers to expand and enhance test automation coverage.
- Assist in the setup of test data and validate test environments to ensure readiness.
- Validate bug fixes and conduct regression impact assessments prior to product releases.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and expected system behaviors.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results and report on test coverage and defect trends.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, QA, or software development.
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques and basic automated testing principles.
- Proven experience utilizing bug tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or Maestro is a significant plus.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and Agile development practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities when working with engineering and product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Direct experience with API testing or a background in the crypto/fintech sectors.
- Preferred: Experience supporting QA workflows within CI/CD environments.
Compensation & Benefits
This full-time remote role offers a starting pay range of USD 105,000 to 125,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations. Actual base pay will be determined by skill sets, work experience, business needs, and prevailing market demands. Compensation is subject to change.
