About the Opportunity:

This role involves designing and implementing natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) models that power a web3 documentation chatbot. The Prompt Engineer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure accurate and helpful chatbot responses. This is a remote position within the United States, with strict monitoring of work locations and restrictions on foreign IP access and personal VPN use due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom generative and discriminative large language models (LLMs)
  • Create wrapper applications based on ChatGPT and other LLMs
  • Develop AI alignment systems, Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) instruction models, and AI guardrails
  • Conduct rigorous testing of LLMs using standardized benchmarks and custom evaluations
  • Apply advanced NLP and ML techniques to complex language problems
  • Translate technical findings into clear insights for non-technical audiences
  • Develop and maintain documentation and best practices for NLP and ML models
  • Collaborate on distributed training infrastructure to train and fine-tune LLMs
  • Lead design and implementation of new products with data science and development teams
  • Integrate AI technologies into internal and external tools in collaboration with data science and development teams
  • Provide technical leadership in AI audits, model accuracy improvements, and tool deployment
  • Fine-tune AI models based on real-world performance and stakeholder feedback

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship required due to federal government contract
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Must reside and perform work within the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Seven years of relevant software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in NLP, machine learning, and data analysis
  • Three or more years of experience with Python
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Experience with generative LLM fine-tuning and prompt engineering
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks
  • Ability to collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and ML infrastructure teams
  • Demonstrated passion for LLM-powered product development through commercial or open-source projects
  • Proven track record of shipping software and releasing applications (include names and links on resume)
  • Experience with cloud technologies and edge computing relevant to AI deployment
  • Familiarity with Databricks for large-scale data processing
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
  • Experience with virtual machine environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable with collaboration across distributed teams
