The Localization Specialist is responsible for managing the localization process of multilingual content, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of high-quality translations. This role supports internal teams and external vendors to maintain content standards and operational consistency, contributing to the organization’s ability to reach and engage a global audience effectively.Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end translation workflows using translation management systems and technology.
- Prepare, format, and validate source files such as HTML, XML, JSON, and documents before translation.
- Perform linguistic and functional quality checks on localized content following quality guidelines.
- Maintain and update linguistic assets including terminology and translation memories.
- Collaborate with external vendors to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate review activities with subject matter experts; consolidate feedback and track revisions.
- Advise cross-functional partners on localization requirements and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and deliver assigned tasks within set timeframes.
- Document workflows, best practices, and recurring tasks to ensure operational consistency.
- Assist with audits of translation assets and quality metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Localization Management, Linguistics, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in localization, translation project management, or content operations.
- Experience with translation management systems and computer-assisted translation tools.
- Knowledge of translation technology and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to work with structured content formats such as XML, HTML, and JSON.
- Familiarity with quality frameworks and multilingual content review.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
