About the Opportunity
The IT Network Specialist is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and effective operation of the organization's network infrastructure. This role supports day-to-day network functions, resolves connectivity issues, implements security protocols, and provides technical support and training. The position plays a key role in maintaining technology systems that enable healthcare services, supporting network upgrades and expansions, and acting as a technical escalation point. The role is eligible for remote work and requires participation in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain servers, networks, desktop hardware, software, and applications.
- Manage identity systems including Entra, Active Directory, and OneLogin.
- Perform Group Policy cleanup, design, and implementation.
- Manage and maintain mobile devices via Intune and Apple Business Manager.
- Support employee and device onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain backups, security, user accounts, email systems, internet access, and office applications.
- Maintain firewall and VPN architecture.
- Review and support WAN and LAN infrastructure, including remote connectivity.
- Manage software systems supporting infrastructure such as SIEM, RMM, and other tools.
- Own patch management and application cleanup processes.
- Maintain and evaluate security systems and protocols.
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure like Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
- Administer basic phone and voicemail systems.
- Act as escalation point for technical support issues.
- Document network infrastructure and applications.
- Manage projects within budget and schedule.
- Participate in IT on-call rotation.
- Support peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and cameras.
- Assist with external continuing education presentations sponsored by supported practices.
Requirements
- Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to administer Office 365 Suite, including configuration management and patch updates.
- Ability to learn on the job or through courses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $30 - $36 per hour, determined based on experience.
