About the Opportunity
The IT Network Engineer will manage and support the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, operating systems, security, and telephony hardware. This role ensures reliable and secure network operations, contributing to the organization's ability to deliver services effectively across its service area.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support data, voice, and security systems infrastructure including WAN, LAN, servers, PCs, switches, routers, printers, and peripherals.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Schedule and implement network upgrades.
- Collaborate on network optimization efforts.
- Establish and enforce network security policies and monitor access.
- Stay updated on industry developments through education and professional networks.
- Manage and report on network operational status.
- Coordinate technical staff and vendors to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with three years of relevant experience or Associate's degree with one year experience in server OS or hardware administration and TCP/IP networking.
- Relevant certifications required; equivalent education and experience combinations accepted.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Residency in North Carolina.
- Preferred experience in network security, cloud computing, data protection, virtual server environments, email administration, Active Directory, wireless LAN, project management, VOIP systems.
- Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, PMP, VMware, Google Cloud, AWS, Azure accepted.
