The Human Resources Specialist will act as the primary contact for general HR inquiries and manage the daily workflow of HR service tickets. This role supports employees with questions on benefits, paid time off, personal information updates, and employment verifications. The position contributes by enhancing HR efficiency through process improvements and automation, ensuring timely and effective HR service delivery.Responsibilities
- Manage Tier 0 and Tier 1 HR inquiries via ticketing system
- Assign and track HR tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Monitor the ticket queue for prompt handling and categorization
- Respond to employee questions about benefits, PTO, personal information, and verifications
- Provide clear information on HR policies and processes
- Update employee data accurately in the HRIS system (UKG Pro)
- Identify recurring issues and collaborate on automation solutions
- Propose process improvements to reduce manual workload and improve service
- Work with HR leadership to prioritize automation projects
- Collaborate with HR Generalists, Analysts, and other departments for smooth service delivery
- Serve as liaison between employees and HR team for effective communication
- Maintain and update HR documentation and knowledge base
- Apply critical thinking to resolve complex issues efficiently
- Use performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver courteous, solution-focused support with professional communication
- Anticipate employee needs and provide tailored guidance
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR service delivery, support, or administration, preferably in healthcare or multi-state environments
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Zoho Service Desk preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, including handling sensitive information
- Experience with benefits administration, PTO management, and employment verifications
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and accurate data management
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and stay organized remotely
- High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive data
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams and states
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in women’s healthcare or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of Leave of Absence support and state-specific HR laws is a plus
