Job Description
About the Opportunity: Human Resources Generalist
As a Human Resources Generalist for a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, you will be a key point of contact providing essential HR support and services to managers and employees. This role is crucial for fostering positive employee relations, delivering effective coaching, and supporting critical HR processes across the organization. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to impact a global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily coaching to managers on problem-solving, leadership style, change management, career development, and performance improvement.
- Coach managers on addressing conflicts and developing effective resolution plans.
- Investigate employee complaints and develop appropriate recovery plans.
- Manage and educate on the progressive discipline program, ensuring fair and consistent application.
- Support talent acquisition processes, offering guidance on compensation, equity, and strategic workforce planning.
- Partner with managers to identify and develop career paths for top performers and implement improvement strategies for underperforming employees.
- Support annual performance and talent review processes, including calibration.
- Utilize people analytics and reporting to inform business KPIs and HR audits.
- Translate HR policies and procedures into practical applications that meet specific business needs.
- Execute HR processes consistently with a standardized approach.
- Deliver management and employee training programs.
- Support employee social and psychological well-being initiatives.
- Facilitate visa, green card, and work permit processes by partnering with immigration attorneys.
- Manage employee life cycle changes, from welcome emails to exit interviews and termination support.
- Adjudicate pre-employment testing.
- Represent the client group in various forums and client management meetings.
- Participate in ad hoc HR projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Human Resources Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- Active HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) are preferred.
- Proficiency in HR policies and procedures, with strong business acumen to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Ability to interpret external business trends and incorporate best practices.
- Skilled in using HR metrics, KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards for data-driven decision making.
- Proven experience in mentoring and supporting employees through issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop an inclusive organizational culture that resonates with employee values.
- Strong risk management skills pertaining to employee management, recruitment, and behavioral issues.
- Experience in workplace optimization to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict management, teamwork, accountability, agility, decisiveness, resilience, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
