Executive Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud

About the Opportunity:

As the Executive Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud, you will serve as a pivotal leader within the Enterprise Technology and Architecture team at RemoteHunter. This critical role involves spearheading the strategy, design, and delivery of comprehensive enterprise infrastructure, network, and cloud services across RemoteHunter's global operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all technology platforms are secure, scalable, and cost-effective, directly supporting business expansion and innovation within a highly regulated operational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a global infrastructure and cloud strategy that is meticulously aligned with overarching business objectives.
• Oversee the architecture, engineering, and daily operations for network, compute, storage, and various cloud platforms.
• Lead critical compliance and optimization initiatives across both AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Ensure exceptional high availability, robust disaster recovery protocols, and continuous performance monitoring for all infrastructure services across RemoteHunter's global operating regions.
• Drive significant automation and modernization efforts utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Establish and rigorously maintain data center standards, including best practices for both physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Oversee system administration responsibilities for enterprise servers, operating systems, and essential core infrastructure services.
• Implement proactive monitoring and comprehensive observability frameworks to ensure high reliability and facilitate rapid incident response.
• Manage key vendor relationships and skillfully negotiate contracts for essential infrastructure and cloud services.
• Collaborate extensively with cybersecurity, application development, and various business teams to ensure seamless technology integration.
• Establish robust governance frameworks and define key performance metrics for all infrastructure and cloud services.
• Mentor and foster the professional development of a global team of talented engineers and architects.
• Partner closely with the cybersecurity team to uphold and enhance high security standards across the entire technology stack.
• Engage with technology leaders and key stakeholders to ensure technology consistently supports and advances business goals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 14 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 8 years specifically in leadership and management roles.
• Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platform management and architecture; experience with Alicloud and Tencent is a significant advantage.
• Strong foundational background in network engineering, enterprise architecture, Terraform, system administration, and modern monitoring solutions.
• Extensive experience managing global infrastructure operations and successfully executing large-scale cloud migrations.
• Exceptional leadership, clear communication, and adept stakeholder management skills are essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, coupled with a solid understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as GxP, HIPAA, and other pertinent regulations.
• Advanced cloud technology certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are required.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for the Executive Director, Global Infrastructure and Cloud position is $235,600.00 to $315,600.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of your skills, extensive experience, relevant certifications, educational background, and specific work location. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan, while Commercial roles participate in an incentive compensation plan.
