Staff Data Scientist, Marketing

2. About the Opportunity:

The Staff Data Scientist, Marketing is responsible for owning the complete data science process for a key business vertical, from identifying business challenges to deploying models and analyzing live return on ad spend (ROAS) performance. This role involves hands-on development and deployment of machine learning solutions that directly impact revenue and media efficiency, with an initial focus on the Insurance vertical and Advertiser Quality.

3. Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end modeling work for the Insurance vertical with measurable ROAS impact

• Develop buying models that sustain positive ROAS and maintain quality

• Improve lead quality across multiple brands and channels, influencing revenue growth

• Build trusted partnerships with vertical business stakeholders

• Deliver validated, well-documented outputs requiring minimal correction

• Identify and pursue new modeling opportunities beyond current business focus

4. Requirements:

• Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or lead generation

• Experience building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling

• Strong fundamentals in modeling with demonstrated business impact

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience deploying ML solutions in AWS cloud

• Expertise in multi-armed bandit/reinforcement learning, recommendation and ranking systems, funnel and monetization optimization, and LTV modeling

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary ranges from $175,000 to $200,000 per year, paid semi-monthly
