2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Engineer role on the Finance team is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse. This position ensures internal data is structured, governed, and accessible to support analytics across the organization. The role involves migrating the data warehouse to Databricks and establishing standards that shape data platform usage company-wide.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead design, development, and implementation of enterprise data warehouse solutions for corporate analytics
• Manage migration and refactoring of the data warehouse from Google BigQuery to Databricks
• Establish and maintain data warehouse standards and best practices
• Design and build scalable ETL and ELT pipelines integrating data from internal systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Salesforce
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to develop dimensional data models and enterprise data architecture
• Translate business requirements into scalable, governed data solutions
• Implement automated data quality monitoring and governance processes
• Optimize data warehouse performance, reliability, and cost in cloud environments
• Document data architecture, pipelines, and standards
• Mentor team members and collaborate on data warehouse best practices
4. Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or data warehouse development, including enterprise implementations
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift); Databricks preferred
• Expert SQL skills and strong data modeling capabilities
• Familiarity with modern ETL and ELT tools and practices
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas, and enterprise data architecture
• Experience establishing data governance and standards
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
• Experience integrating with business systems and APIs, including Salesforce, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, and collaborative development workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on data quality
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• SaaS or technology company experience is a plus
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The salary range for this position is $90,800 - $151,400
• Eligibility for a discretionary bonus
• Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable laws
