Data Analytics Director at RemoteHunter

About the Opportunity:

The organization provides an evidence-based platform combining modern medicine, behavior change support, personalized coaching, and community for personalized weight care. The Data Analytics Director will lead the data analytics roadmap, synthesizing data to drive company-wide strategy and decision-making. This role reports to the VP of Strategy and Business Operations and partners with leaders across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the company's data analytics vision and ensure data infrastructure scales with business needs
  • Develop frameworks and metrics to measure success across Growth, Product, Revenue, Clinical, Member Experience, and Operations
  • Perform hands-on analytics including writing SQL, building dbt models, and creating dashboards for critical decisions
  • Support OKR goal-setting, tracking, and reporting by providing actionable insights on progress
  • Collaborate with engineering on data methodologies and roadmap planning
  • Build and mentor a data team, transitioning from individual contributor to leader

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of analytics experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of subscription business models and cohort analysis; healthcare or health-tech experience is a plus
  • Expert in SQL and data modeling with dbt; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Mode); scripting in Python or R preferred
  • Proven experience implementing data governance and QA best practices (dbt testing, version control, peer review)
  • Experience with experimentation methods such as A/B testing and diff-in-diff experiments
  • Ability to work independently and distill complex problems into clear, actionable insights
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to build consensus across stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing and articulating a data vision that drives business improvements
