Data Analyst - Asset Management

2. About the Opportunity:

The Data Analyst - Asset Management supports the Asset Management department by enhancing data quality, automating reports, and delivering clear insights for a national affordable housing portfolio. This role contributes to informed decision-making and operational efficiency by developing dashboards, consolidating data, and supporting financial and portfolio analysis.

3. Responsibilities:

• Analyze budget-to-actual results, key performance indicators, cash flow projections, and portfolio trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.

• Support annual operating and capital budgeting, replacement reserve reimbursement, and capital funding processes.

• Research and summarize market, leasing, demographic, financial, and property information to aid portfolio decisions.

• Assist with financial modeling, scenario analysis, due diligence, and documentation for acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and recapitalizations.

• Prepare portfolio analytics including financing profiles, maturity schedules, and performance segmentation for transaction and portfolio planning.

• Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for senior management, board members, investors, lenders, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

• Provide documentation and analysis for affiliate reporting, watchlist summaries, compliance reporting, and special projects.

• Perform other assigned job-related duties and projects.

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, data analytics, or related field preferred.

• Three years of relevant experience, preferably in multi-family asset management, property management, affordable housing, real estate finance, or data analytics.

• Experience with affordable housing programs such as HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or PRAC is a plus.

• Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau; experience with Power Query, pivot tables, macros/VBA, SQL, or similar tools preferred.

• Ability to integrate, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems; familiarity with MRI, RealPage, Yardi, or similar software preferred.

• Experience in financial modeling and real estate transaction analysis is preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• $34.13/hr to $37.88/hr based on experience
