Job Description
About the Opportunity:
This Customer Service Specialist role at RemoteHunter focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service. You will be responsible for proactively engaging with low-volume accounts to ensure consistent communication, support smooth order processing, and resolve issues effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate monthly service calls to assigned low-volume accounts within the local area.
- Keep customers informed about new programs, promotions, products, and services.
- Provide assistance with various issues, including missed shipments, price adjustments, and backorders.
- Coordinate special orders and quotations in collaboration with field sales associates and manufacturers.
- Work closely with warehouse associates, customers, and field sales to ensure seamless order processing.
- Accurately process orders received through various channels such as phone, fax, mail, email, and verbally.
- Deliver precise answers to customer questions and address complaints, escalating when necessary.
- Perform essential data entry for orders, inquiries, and pricing information.
- Support backorder management by offering suitable substitutions and contacting manufacturers for updates.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments within the Distribution Center and field sales associates.
- Act as a vital liaison between customers and field sales associates.
- Propose improvements to customer service operations to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Undertake additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Broad training in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or related fields, acquired through a bachelor’s degree, technical training, or equivalent experience.
- Less than one year of directly related experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Good decision-making and analytical skills.
- Ability to quickly and creatively resolve customer issues.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services, and distribution operations is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems.
