Job Description

Customer Service Specialist at RemoteHunter

This role supports customer satisfaction by providing courteous, professional, and efficient service to customers. The position involves generating outbound calls to specific low-volume accounts to maintain communication and support, ensuring smooth order processing and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate monthly service calls to assigned low-volume accounts in the local area
  • Update customers on new programs, promotions, products, and services
  • Assist with issues such as missed shipments, price adjustments, and backorders
  • Coordinate special orders and quotations with field sales associates and manufacturers
  • Work with warehouse associates, customers, and field sales to ensure smooth order processing
  • Process orders received via phone, fax, mail, email, and verbally
  • Provide accurate answers to customer questions and complaints or escalate as needed
  • Perform data entry for orders, inquiries, and pricing information
  • Assist with backorders by offering substitutions and contacting manufacturers for updates
  • Communicate with all departments within the Distribution Center and field sales associates
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and field sales associates
  • Suggest improvements to customer service operations to the supervisor
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Broad training in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or related fields through a bachelor’s degree, technical training, or equivalent experience
  • Less than one year of directly related experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good decision making and analytical abilities
  • Ability to quickly and creatively resolve customer issues
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services, and distribution operations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems

Compensation

Salary range from $33,100 to $48,950, reflecting a national average which may vary by location.
