The AWS Cloud Engineer role is focused on supporting and managing cloud infrastructure and application environments within AWS. This hands-on position contributes by maintaining and improving cloud systems, containerized services, and network security. The role directly impacts the organization's ability to deliver secure, high-performing cloud services and supports collaboration across engineering, data, and operations teams.Responsibilities
- Manage and support AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, VPCs, security groups, IAM, and load balancers
- Monitor system health, availability, performance, and costs
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and incident response for cloud resources
- Deploy, operate, and maintain Docker-based services and applications
- Support Apache-based web services and related components
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and connectivity issues across environments
- Configure and maintain VPN solutions including OpenVPN, WireGuard, or AWS Client VPN
- Enable secure access for employees, vendors, and systems
- Apply cloud security best practices and access controls
- Assist with automation of deployments, infrastructure tasks, and operational workflows
- Enhance reliability, documentation, and monitoring over time
- Follow established standards and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with AWS
- Experience with EC2, VPCs, IAM, and security groups
- Proficiency with Docker and containerized applications
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- Knowledge supporting web servers or services, preferably Apache
- Working understanding of VPN technologies and networking fundamentals
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues end-to-end
Pay Range and Compensation Package
