About the Opportunity
The Analyst - Accounts Payable is responsible for supporting the accounts payable function by ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers. This role validates and matches supplier invoices with purchase orders, confirms all necessary approvals, and maintains transaction records. The position plays a critical role in managing vendor relationships by addressing past due balances and discrepancies, contributing to the organization’s financial accuracy and vendor trust.
Responsibilities
- Compile invoices owed to suppliers or other organizations
- Verify purchase order details and process invoices according to authority levels
- Maintain invoice and transaction records
- Collaborate directly with vendors and internal locations on past due balances
- Review vendor statements to manage aging within agreed terms
- Follow escalation procedures for exception handling
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year related experience; 3 years preferred
- Accurate and fast data entry skills
- Proficiency with computer software
