We are seeking a senior-level Web Developer with robust SEO expertise to bolster our website development, on-page SEO, and local SEO efforts for U.S.-based home service businesses, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pool builders, and general contractors. This is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of how SEO, website architecture, tracking, and performance coalesce. You'll be expected to build and update websites with SEO, speed, and tracking as fundamental considerations from inception.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development & SEO-Friendly Builds
  • Develop and update websites primarily utilizing Cadence and GeneratePress themes.
  • Integrate content provided by the content/SEO team into live websites.
  • Ensure pristine site structure, proper H-tag hierarchy, effective internal linking, and rapid load times.
  • Implement SEO best practices while consciously avoiding over-optimization and keyword stuffing.

  Important: Elementor and Divi are not primary builders. While familiarity is acceptable, this role is not suited for developers who exclusively rely on Elementor.

• On-Page & Local SEO Execution
  • Optimize critical on-page elements such as Title tags, Meta descriptions, Heading structure, and URL structure.
  • Execute local SEO tasks including citation building and cleanup, NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency, and local business listings.
  • Work proficiently with tools like BrightLocal (preferred), WhiteSpark, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Keyword Planner.
• Tracking, Analytics & Tag Management (Critical)
  • Set up and meticulously manage Google Tag Manager, click tracking, call tracking, and conversion tracking.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of Google Analytics and GTM on every website.
  • Possess the ability to diagnose and resolve tracking issues, validating data accuracy.
  • Treat tracking as an integral part of every website build, not an afterthought.
• Workflow & Collaboration
  • Manage daily and weekly assignments efficiently using ClickUp.
  • Effectively work across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of tasks, operating effectively without micromanagement.

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• 3+ years of proven experience in Web Development and SEO.
• Demonstrated expertise with Cadence or GeneratePress.
• Extensive experience in local SEO specifically for U.S. businesses.
• Proficiency in Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics.
• A strong understanding of American search intent and language nuances.
• Capacity to work autonomously and deliver results without constant supervision.
• Excellent written English skills (grammar and clarity are mandatory).
