About Senior Systems Engineer

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer within our Global Infrastructure Group, you will build and support products across our Life Sciences portfolio. The role focuses on improving developer experience, enabling teams to deliver quality software quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliability, scalability, performance and security of platforms.
  • Improve common tasks and self-service modules across SDLC.
  • Design, build, and maintain cost-effective cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with platform teams during product on-boarding.
  • Implement efficiencies and automation to reduce manual toil.
  • Provide senior escalation support for production issues.

Requirements

  • Experience in global cross-functional teams and innovative solutions.
  • Expertise in DevOps and SRE best practices.
  • Advanced skills in AWS, Linux, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub.
  • Ability to design highly available and secure distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment standardization.
  • Knowledge in using New Relic or Grafana for performance monitoring.
  • Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.
  • Proficiency in automation using Infrastructure as Code with Python or Go.
