Program Officer, Economic Empowerment
The Program Officer, Economic Empowerment supports IRC’s New Roots and Workforce Development program areas by playing a project management role on key economic empowerment initiatives across 30 US cities and at times in Europe and CRRD countries.
Major Responsibilities
- Workforce Development and New Roots: Provide strategic support, work with stakeholders, support data analysis, and guide EE program managers.
- Partnerships: Initiate and grow partnerships, support external communication, and aid fundraising efforts.
- Project Management: Lead key grant-funded initiatives, plan work, resource development, data collection, and reporting.
Key Working Relationships
Reports to the Senior Technical Advisor, Food Security and Agriculture and collaborates with economic empowerment technical staff, field offices, Program Excellence and Research, Analysis and Learning units.
Requirements
- University degree in relevant field; graduate degree is an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience in social service, economic development, or related programming.
- Minimum 3 years working with workforce development partners.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and data management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $70,000 - $84,000 for US-based candidates. Comprehensive benefit package includes sick days, holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, and more.
