About the Home Study Case Manager HSPRS Role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Home Study Case Manager HSPRS to conduct home studies and provide post-release services for unaccompanied children. The role involves assessing the safety and suitability of sponsors, developing service plans, and connecting children to community resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial interviews with children and ORR care staff.
  • Perform in-person home visits and assess sponsor households.
  • Complete detailed home study reports and provide recommendations within tight timeframes.
  • Provide post-release case management including regular in-home assessments and follow-ups.
  • Develop individualized, trauma-informed service plans and safety plans.
  • Collaborate with crisis support, community service providers, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in leadership responsibilities when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of case management with experience in ORR care.
  • Skilled in conducting home studies and writing professional assessment reports.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual communication platforms.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.

Working Environment & Compensation

This role is heavily travel based with variable hours including evenings and weekends. Compensation is hourly with pay ranges from $29.00 to $35.22 for US-based candidates, and the position is funded through September 30, 2026.
