About the Role
The Scientist Viral Delivery Technologies role at Regeneron supports the development of an antibody-retargeted Adeno-associated virus (AAV) delivery platform. You will design, characterize, and validate novel AAVs to expand the gene therapy vector portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, drive, and troubleshoot in vitro experiments for vector characterization.
- Perform molecular biology and protein analysis techniques including cloning, SDS PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, DNA extractions, PCR, quantitative PCR, protein chromatography, etc.
- Collaborate with the bioinformatics team to turn data insights into vector designs.
- Execute rAAV production protocols and contribute to vector optimization.
- Work collaboratively with cross-department teams, core facilities, and participate in meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
Required: BS/MS in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience with mammalian cell culture, virus/protein purification, DNA isolation, plasmid cloning, and antibody applications is required. Maintaining electronic lab records is essential.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with antibody properties, protein engineering, viral vector production and research software (Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, Benchling, MacVector) along with online resources (NCBI, Uniprot, RCSB Protein Data Bank) is desired.
