Overview
Regeneron is seeking an established leader and drug hunter for the Director R&D Chemistry role. The candidate will expand Regeneron's small molecule and peptidomimetic antibody-conjugate drug discovery capabilities while driving innovation across biologics and novel genetic medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the R&D Chemistry group with vision and clear goals.
- Optimize novel small molecule and peptidomimetic modalities with SAR-driven approaches.
- Lead multi-project teams and champion internal and external collaborations.
- Identify and implement new strategies for synthesis and bioconjugation.
- Mentor the team and actively participate in cross-functional meetings.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry (or related field) is required, along with at least 10 years of industry experience in drug discovery. Candidates must have expertise in small molecule and peptidomimetic chemistry, strong SAR optimization skills, and experience with antibody linker-payload synthesis. A deep understanding of chemical biology strategies is essential.
