About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer II at Reed Technology, you will undertake challenging research, design, and software development assignments within the French team. You will contribute to project plans, schedules, and methodologies for developing and tuning a legal search platform. You will design architectures across multiple components, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with users and the Product team to translate requirements into innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute as part of a SCRUM squad to build a cutting-edge legal search engine.
- Ensure technical consistency, code quality, and maintainability.
- Co-create technical components with product architects.
- Define and coordinate project plans and detailed specifications.
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and conduct code reviews.
- Stay updated with new technologies and adhere to global technical strategy.
- Mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, especially in micro-services applications.
- BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Managed Services or Staff Augmentation resource models.
- Proficiency in reactive programming using Java with frameworks like Micronaut or SpringBoot.
- Experience with Lucene based search engines (Apache Solr or Elasticsearch).
- Expertise in AWS Cloud services, NoSQL databases, deployment infrastructures, and Java J2EE (>=17).
- Proven problem-solving ability and team leadership in troubleshooting complex issues.
