About the Role - Senior Android Engineer - Compliance

The SPACE org (Security, Privacy, Assurance, and Corporate Engineering) is launching a Compliance Engineering team to prepare Reddit’s platforms for evolving regulatory requirements. This role involves building trusted, compliant user experiences, influencing strategy, and owning product areas from technical design to launch.

  • Shape Reddit’s future by aligning with new regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Lead high-impact projects critical to platform integrity.
  • Improve engineering workflows and mentor upcoming engineers.
  • Work within a dynamic, remote environment.

Qualifications

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of professional experience in Android development using Java or Kotlin, and familiarity with frameworks like Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines. The role demands strategic thinking, leadership experience in large cross-team projects, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
