About the Role

Red River is looking for a Software Engineer - RHEL Public Cloud Experience Team to join the Red Hat Cloud Experience group. This role focuses on developing and improving the RHEL customer experience in public clouds by designing, developing, and optimizing integrations with partner cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop features for better RHEL cloud experience.
  • Enhance performance and optimize RHEL deployments on public clouds.
  • Develop and improve cloud integrations with partners.
  • Communicate with peer engineers and contribute in Open Source communities.
  • Collaborate with Release Engineering, Support, Product Management, and Documentation teams.
  • Research, propose, and develop new RHEL Cloud Solutions.

What You Will Bring

  • A strong sense of curiosity about Linux distributions and public cloud delivery.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
  • Experience in Cloud Engineering (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash; Go is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud integrations and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with Cloud DevOps, CI/CD tools, and Linux rpm-based packaging.
  • Background in cloud system administration or consulting is advantageous.
