Red River is looking for a high-energy, results-driven DoD Account Executive (Army) to help organizations transform their IT environments. In this role, you’ll own a dedicated territory, build strategic relationships, and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that solve real business challenges. - Develop a competitive sales strategy.
- Manage a dedicated sales territory comprised of medium to large enterprise accounts.
- Gain great insight into industry trends for cloud computing, consumptive models, and creative financing options.
- Develop and maintain customer base.
- Promote Red River as a Solutions and Services provider.
- Drive revenue and margin through individual account base.
- Maintain technical acumen in areas of networking or datacenter infrastructure.
- Maintain knowledge base on new and existing products.
- Possess a deep understanding of sales methodology, including prospecting, pipeline, and forecasting.
- Be eager to understand customer pain points and develop solutions around their requirements.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements
- 5-10 years of IT sales experience.
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience
- Mid-level certifications in OEM training programs.
- College or associate degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate ability to put together comprehensive account plans and strategy.
- Demonstrate the ability to sell professional and managed services.
- Ability to cultivate C-level relationships and understand underlying business drivers.
- Ability to capture large multi-year IT annuity contracts.
- For Federal AE III: Detailed understanding of all Federal Contracting and acquisition vehicles.
- Understanding of federal budget cycles and buying patterns.
- Ability to navigate within public sources to identify government solicitations and opportunities (Exhibit 300).
- Familiar with existing industry CRM applications.
- Familiar with OEM business processes and negotiating discount structures.
- Ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills and lead customer-facing meetings.
- Ability to work effectively with or without dedicated management/mentor supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Sufficient phone skills as defined by: active listening skills, using the open-ended question technique, courteous and conscientious mannerisms, and technically literate language to support successful cold and warm calls.
- Sufficient writing skills, demonstrated by correct grammar, professional communication style, and technically literate language to support successful email introductions to customers, vendors, and OEM counterparts.
- Demonstrated success in a multi-tasked, high-volume sales role as defined by accuracy, response rate, and understanding of customer requirements.
