How You Will Contribute

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Scientific Services & Advisory team. You can find more information about our team by visiting the Scientific Services & Advisory section on the Red Nucleus website.

As a Senior Consultant, you will collaborate with the Scientific Services and Advisory (SS&A) Leadership and other team members to assist organizations in resolving critical issues, creating value, maximizing growth, and enhancing business performance. Senior Consultants play a key role in strategically transforming and advancing client operations through excellence in processes and systems.

Responsibilities

Senior Consultants will maintain a client-facing role, planning, leading, and executing diverse projects that vary with each engagement. This position requires you to represent Red Nucleus effectively in addressing client needs. Examples of collaborative Advisory projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Planning and Management (PMO)
  • Business requirements (including research, interviews, workshops)
  • Process optimization
  • Training (development and deployment of various formats such as e-learning and instructor-led)
  • Business plan/case development
  • Strategic plan and roadmap creation
  • Solution design and implementation
  • Innovative system design
  • Quality and compliance initiatives
  • Change management (OCM)
  • User requirements specifications
  • User acceptance testing
  • Systems validation and implementations
  • Document migration
  • Helpdesk support
  • Metrics and KPIs definition
  • Data governance strategies
  • IT/Business liaison

Internal responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to, budget and Statement of Work (SOW) management, contributing to marketing and Business Development efforts, thought leadership, and other initiatives aimed at driving the success of the SS&A Business unit or Red Nucleus as a whole.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates will possess the following general qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of the drug development lifecycle and associated process activities
  • At least 5+ years of experience within the life sciences industry
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-starter and driven work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task with superior organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and take accountability for driving timelines and project deliverables
  • Dependable and flexible approach
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, essential for working with global and interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite software including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience working in a global environment with an understanding of cultural differences and work practices
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)

Depending on the specific level of the Senior Consultant position, candidates may also be required to meet additional qualifications, such as:

  • Supervising a division or subdivision of staff
  • Leading others in problem-solving and addressing engagement challenges
  • Taking accountability for team performance
  • Taking accountability for the quality of work across multiple accounts
  • Managing a team with high-yield deliverables
  • Ensuring “right first time” for internal and client deliverables for self and team
  • Taking accountability for overseeing other consultants’ deliverables to ensure accuracy
  • Proactively supporting the business and staff in meeting objectives
  • Contributing to a foundational presence in the industry as a trusted partner and leader
  • Thinking “outside the box” regarding deliverables, both internal and client-related
  • Being recognized as an industry leader for a specific region or division
  • Establishing novel approaches to delivery and deliverables

Specialized Qualifications and Skills

Candidates may also be subject matter experts in one or more of the following areas (regional, global, and cross-functional):

  • Clinical information or systems (e.g., eTMF, CTMS)
  • Regulatory information or systems (e.g., RIM, IDMP)
  • Safety information or systems (e.g., Case Processing, Safety Reporting)
  • Quality or related systems (e.g., QMS, CAPA, Change Control)
  • Migration and clean-up of documents and document attributes
  • Understanding of global R&D submission processes and clinical documentation
  • Process development expertise
  • System implementation proficiency
  • Organizational change management skills
  • Other specialized skills not specifically identified here
