About The Job

Red Hat is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer with 7-12 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance, availability, and reliability of cloud-based services and infrastructure, acting as a critical technical subject matter expert.

What Will You Do

Main tasks include managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing containerized applications on Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, and OpenStack platforms. You will serve as an SME for cloud infrastructure technologies, conduct in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible.

  • Manage containerized applications and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve high-severity customer issues.
  • Develop automation for efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide escalation and emergency monitoring support.
  • Collaborate with customer and internal teams.

Scheduling

The role follows a follow-the-sun model with a rotational on-call schedule. Occasional shifts outside typical hours are required, while maintaining a standard work week.

What Will You Bring

  • Strong Linux administration expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenStack, and containerization.
  • Hands-on experience and scripting proficiency in Python and Ansible.
  • Robust troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals and configuration management.
  • Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis and escalation management.

Certifications (Advantageous)

Certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, CKA, and others are considered an added advantage.

Communication & Attitude

Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive attitude are essential. You should be a team player who performs well under pressure in a dynamic support environment.
