The Category Specialist is part of the Trade Marketing team, responsible for developing, preparing, and implementing future-proof plans and projects. By developing tailor-made insights, solutions, and groundbreaking activations, Red Bull has been a very important growth pillar within the soft drinks category for years. And we intend to keep it that way.
All responsibilities entrusted to you:
VISION AND STRATEGY
The Trade Marketing team consists of Business Insights, Category Management, and Shopper Marketing. Together with the other team members, you are responsible for the continuous development of the Out-of-Home channel strategy and within that, you define the role and growth pillars of the category. Based on both qualitative and quantitative data, you determine the vision for soft drinks, including the relevant assortment and associated shelf plans. You will differentiate between various shopping missions to maximize conversion on every trip and ensure the correct implementation of the 4Ps under all circumstances.
INSIGHTS & ANALYSIS
Turning data into insights is not enough at Red Bull. Turning data into store is more 'our cup of tea'. As a commercial expert, you are capable of conducting thorough analyses regarding assortment, distribution, price and promotion, and the shelf. You will not miss any opportunity to creatively translate your acquired insights to the store floor and online. For this, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and convincing colleague who strives for optimal brand conversion through multidisciplinary collaboration.
BE NO1 IN STORE
In five years, the energy drinks segment has risen from 6th to 2nd place within the Soft Drinks category. What's unique is that the promotional pressure has remained almost the same. The strong base growth that Red Bull and the segment are experiencing is a natural consequence of our focus and presence on the (online and offline) store floor; shoppers encounter the can where they expect it. Together with Marketing and Sales, you will ensure that we continue to anchor this unique instore position towards 2030 within a rapidly changing landscape.

Your knowledge and expertise areas, what is most important for this job:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within FMCG, including Category Management, (Trade) Marketing, and/or Sales.
- Strong analytical skills; you are adept at analyzing both quantitative (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and qualitative sources.
- Innovative thinker and creative doer at both strategic and operational levels.
- Project management; initiating and coordinating business planning, as well as independently executing (ad hoc) pilots and instore tests.
- Results-oriented; strong personal and communication skills, and the ability to 'sell' an idea. You don't stop until the idea is implemented and know how to create momentum with top management and clients where necessary.
- Flexible and solution-oriented team player, thrives in an exciting and fast-paced environment where there is always room for an 'only Red Bull can do' idea.
- Demonstrate proactivity & ownership in everything you do.
- Experience within the Out-of-Home/Foodservice landscape is a plus.
