About the Internship AI in Software Development Role at Red Bull Media House
Are you passionate about software development and AI technologies? Do you have a strong interest in how AI can optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enhance engineering practices? Red Bull Media House is seeking a motivated AI Intern to join its Digital Platforms Engineering team.
During this internship, you'll research and explore cutting-edge AI tools, assess their potential, and develop innovative solutions to speed up workflows and optimize processes. Working closely with talented engineers, you'll dive into various stages of the SDLC, collaborate across teams, and contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic environment. This role values freedom, responsibility, trust, and accountability to make a significant difference. The internship is slated to start in May/June 2026 for a duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities
- SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Dive into the software development lifecycle to uncover opportunities to elevate them using AI-based tools and translate these opportunities into impactful proof-of-concept solutions.
- RESEARCH: Conduct structured research to identify innovative ways AI technologies and tools can enhance software engineering practices and processes. Present insights and recommendations to influence the adoption of AI in engineering workflows.
- COLLABORATION: Thrive in an agile environment, collaborating closely with other teams to bring ideas to life and ensure impactful results.
- PROACTIVITY: Take initiative in seeking feedback, sharing ideas, and ensuring scope alignment on projects to actively support a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Advanced undergraduate students, post graduate students or recent graduates (Bachelor/Master degree).
- A passion for AI and software engineering, combined with curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Augment Code, OpenAI or ChatGPT, basic knowledge of machine learning techniques and model training are a plus.
- Hands-on experience in software development and programming languages such as Python, TypeScript or Java.
- Strong ability to analyze problems, interpret data in appropriate detail, and present research findings as actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to approach challenges with creativity.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them forward independently.
- Willingness to collaborate, share ideas, and contribute to a team-oriented culture.
