VP AI at recruitricks
recruitricks is seeking a visionary VP AI to lead significant technological advancements in a security organization. This role involves developing cutting-edge AI solutions based on extensive research and development of high-performance models. The VP AI will shape the vision, strategy, and research standards, serving as the ultimate professional authority in core AI domains. This position includes direct management of the AI department, encompassing all data scientists, machine learning engineers, and researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the AI management tier: diagnose, recruit, onboard, professionally manage, mentor, and train all researchers and data scientists in the unit.
- Formulate research vision and strategy: define the unit's strategic research areas (e.g., NLP, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning) and identify groundbreaking technological opportunities.
- Drive research intuition for adoption/development: lead the decision-making process for AI model development stages (model training, using existing models, model types, integrating classic approaches, etc.).
- Establish research methodologies: define workflows for algorithm research and development, including experiment management, model evaluation, and internal Peer Review processes.
- Manage technological stakeholders: work directly with academia and industry, initiate collaborations, and bring external, innovative knowledge into the unit.
- Translate business problems into research problems: responsible for translating complex operational needs into solvable AI research problems and defining clear success metrics.
- Ensure quality and excellence: overall responsibility for the professional quality and innovation of models and algorithms developed across all squads.
- Advise management: serve as the professional advisor to management and the CTO regarding trends, risks, and opportunities in the AI landscape.
Job Requirements:
- Mandatory: Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
- Significant Advantage: Ph.D. in a core Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence field.
- Mandatory: At least 8 years of hands-on R&D experience in AI/ML.
- At least 3 years of experience managing and leading AI researchers / data scientists.
- Proven experience leading significant research projects that have reached practical implementation/production.
- Deep familiarity and practical experience with multiple AI domains, mandatory - Computer Vision and other fields (e.g., Natural Language Processing, Signal Processing, Time Series Analysis, etc.).
- Significant Advantage: Record of academic publications at leading conferences.
