Position Overview: Handyperson - Property Maintenance

C+C Apartment Management LLC, an industry leader in property and real estate operations, manages over 18,000 residential units across 400 multi-family buildings in the New York Tri-state area. The Handyperson supports day-to-day maintenance tasks and ensures proper upkeep of facilities.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Monitor building and grounds for cleanliness and order
  • Perform minor painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and maintenance tasks using hand tools
  • Follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  • Store supplies appropriately
  • Conduct grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, cultivating flower beds, and snow/ice removal
  • Remove and dispose of trash in designated areas
  • Maintain and secure tools and equipment
  • Report security issues and major repair needs to the supervisor
  • Address emergency maintenance and environmental hazards immediately
  • Adhere to safety and company policies; perform emergency on-call duties
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions

This role demands working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must perform medium to heavy physical labor and demonstrate good eye/hand coordination.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and/or construction supervision
  • Basic janitorial knowledge and tool proficiency
  • Ability to interact with residents effectively
  • Knowledge with both hand and power tools
  • ALC lead paint certification preferred
