Porter (Property Operations)

C+C Apartment Management LLC is an industry leader in management and real estate operations, managing over 18,000 residential units in the New York Tri-state area. The role is part of the Maintenance Department and reports to the Property Manager or Building Superintendent.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Remove garbage and recycling and prepare for sanitation pick-up
  • Comply with building-wide recycling obligations and e cycle regulations
  • Sweep, mop, buff, and wax interior public halls, stairwells, and lobby
  • Sweep and wash sidewalks and exterior passageways
  • Assist with preparing occupancy for vacant apartments
  • Perform minor repairs as needed
  • Notify the Superintendent if service requests cannot be completed
  • Maintain a clean workshop and storage area
  • Keep Company tools and equipment maintained
  • Oversee physical maintenance and appearance of vacant units and public areas
  • Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with residents and staff
  • Work with the Superintendent and Staff to complete assignments timely
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
  • Experience with snow removal and operating power cleaning equipment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions

The candidate must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions, perform medium to heavy physical work, and have good hand-eye coordination.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance and/or construction
  • Basic knowledge of janitorial procedures and floor care
  • ALC lead paint certification
  • Ability to interact with residents and handle complaints discretely
