Job Details
Department: Maintenance Reports To: Property Manager or Building Superintendent
Areas of Responsibility
- Monitor building and grounds to ensure neat presentation
- Complete minor painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks
- Follow instructions and ensure supplies are properly stored
- Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, shrub trimming, and seasonal tasks
- Remove trash and maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and orderly manner
- Report major repairs and emergency maintenance issues immediately
- Adhere to company policy and safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential Job Functions
- Work in all types of weather, both indoors and outdoors
- Perform medium to heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 lbs
- Require good eye/hand coordination
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required Experience: 1-2 years in maintenance and/or construction supervision
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic janitorial knowledge
- Ability to interact with residents and handle complaints
- Competence in using hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance
- ALC lead paint certification
