Family Futures Resource Network: Volunteer Board Member
Family Futures Resource Network is seeking a committed and community-focused individual to serve as a Volunteer Board Member. This non-profit organization is dedicated to strengthening individuals and families through connection, support, and education, aiming to create a better future for all.
This is a volunteer governance position. The Board of Directors holds primary responsibility for overseeing the organization's affairs at the highest level and defining its long-term direction through clearly articulated strategic objectives. Board members are entrusted with a fiduciary responsibility to consistently act in good faith and in the best interests of the organization.
The Board is actively looking for one individual whose unique skills, experience, and perspective will enhance the existing Board's composition. Candidates possessing experience or expertise in areas such as social work, human services, legal affairs, accounting, policing, or board governance are strongly encouraged to apply.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To:
- Provide governance-level oversight and contribute significantly to setting the organization's long-term strategic direction.
- Act in good faith and in the best interests of the organization while diligently fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities.
- Participate actively in board and committee meetings, engaging in informed and thoughtful decision-making processes.
- Offer valuable professional expertise, insightful guidance, and perspective to both the Board and the Executive Director.
- Serve on and, when appropriate, take a leadership role in board sub-committees to drive specific initiatives.
- Support strategic priorities critical to program growth, ensuring workforce sustainability, and enhancing community engagement.
- Attend organizational events to maintain a strong connection to the agency's vital work and measurable impact.
Your Strengths Include:
- Demonstrated experience serving on boards or in other governance-focused leadership roles.
- A professional background in relevant fields such as social work, human services, legal counsel, accounting, policing, or broader governance.
- Possession of strong strategic thinking capabilities, sound ethical judgment, and proven collaborative decision-making skills.
- A deep-seated commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and the communities they serve.
- A clear willingness to dedicate significant time and expertise in a volunteer capacity to the organization's mission.
