Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Account Executive, Shipping/Freight to drive new business growth within the logistics and transportation sector. This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands freight operations and enjoys building long-term client relationships while selling value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business with shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics companies
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close
- Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points related to cash flow, payments, and freight operations
- Present tailored solutions that align with customer needs and business goals
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound sales, referrals, and industry networking
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, onboarding, customer success) to ensure a smooth client experience
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and forecasts using CRM tools
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics within shipping and freight
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of sales experience in shipping, freight, logistics, or related B2B services
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, trucking, ocean/air freight, or logistics workflows
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to win
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling fintech, SaaS, or financial products to logistics companies
- Existing network within the shipping or freight industry
