Overview
We are seeking a Product Owner to join Recharge’s product team, focusing on early-stage, experimental initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with Senior and Group Product Managers and engineering partners. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who desires significant responsibility early on, thrives in dynamic environments, and is motivated to advance into a Product Manager role over time. You will be instrumental in transforming ideas into actionable execution, gaining insights directly from customer feedback, experiments, and shipped products. Expect high ownership, significant exposure, and a steep learning curve in this position.
Our team operates at the crucial intersection of exploration and execution. We both investigate new, unproven product opportunities and manage core components of the merchant and end-customer experience. The work spans early experimentation, continuous iteration, and maintaining the high-quality foundations our customers rely on daily. This is a high-impact team with company-wide visibility, serving as a proving ground for future Product Managers and a space where new product bets are shaped alongside meaningful improvements to core experiences.
This is a remote position based in Canada.
What you’ll do
- Partner closely with Product Managers, engineers, and designers to deliver early-stage product work.
- Own backlog management, ensuring ticket quality and smooth day-to-day execution.
- Make daily product execution decisions within defined problem spaces, escalating trade-offs and directional questions to PMs as needed.
- Translate high-level product direction into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Actively participate in discovery through customer calls, feedback synthesis, and experiment analysis, integrating insights into delivery decisions.
- Help run experiments, meticulously track outcomes, and feed learnings back into product decisions.
- Ensure momentum is maintained across fast-moving, iterative workstreams.
- Operate with urgency, striking a balance between speed, quality, and continuous learning.
- Support early adoption by collaborating with Product Marketing on launch execution, establishing early customer feedback loops, and driving post-launch iteration.
- Live by and champion Recharge’s core values: Accountability, Collaboration, Iteration, and Details.
What you’ll bring
- 1 to 4 years of experience in a Product Owner, Associate PM, or similar adjacent role.
- Strong interest in product management and a passion for building products from the ground up (zero to one).
- A high ownership mindset and a strong bias toward action.
- Comfort working effectively in ambiguous environments and adapting to changing priorities.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Curiosity, drive, and ambition to grow into a Product Manager role.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with Shopify, other e-commerce platforms, or merchant-facing products.
- Technical fluency gained through prior work or education, such as collaborating closely with engineers, working with APIs or data models, or building software-adjacent products (coding is not required).
Compensation
Recharge’s compensation philosophy is grounded in pay-for-performance, recognizing exceptional individual and team performance. Salary ranges are competitive and aligned with country-specific practices, while individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. The compensation listed does not include equity and benefits that may be part of your total compensation package.
The anticipated hiring range in Canada is $98,000-$123,000 CAD.
The application window is anticipated to close on 03/02/2026. If you are interested, please submit your application as soon as possible.
