Role Overview: Project Engineer

As the Project Engineer at Project Engineer, you will own projects from concept through prototype to production. You will interface with customers, collaborate on design, plan multi-departmental meetings, generate CAD drawings and production documentation, and oversee project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers to gather requirements and create estimates.
  • Collaboratively design with customers and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead project planning and design review meetings across departments.
  • Generate CAD models, drawings, and production support documentation.
  • Specify materials and manage BOM generation and project timelines.
  • Monitor project costs and provide manufacturing support.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical etc.).
  • 0-4 years of experience or relevant coursework in composite design.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar solid & surface modeling software.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and a strong grasp of GD&T.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience in mold design, DFM, fixturing, and work instruction development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
