The Role: Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master at Realworks, you will facilitate the Scrum process, support your teams during sprints, and gradually develop your coaching skills. You will collaborate closely with experienced team members and product owners to identify and remove obstacles, guide key Agile ceremonies, and help teams maintain focus on delivering valuable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting and facilitating Scrum events like Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives for one or more technical teams.
• Helping teams stay organized and focused, encouraging effective collaboration.
• Learning to identify and help resolve blockers that may impede progress.
• Promoting clear communication both within and between teams.
• Supporting the Product Owner in managing the backlog and setting priorities.
• Assisting in identifying areas for team improvement and helping implement small, continuous enhancements.

Who You Are

This role is an excellent fit if you:

• Have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Enjoy working with tech teams and enhancing collaboration among people.
• Are curious, organized, and eager to learn through practical experience.

Additionally, successful candidates typically possess:

• A completed Bachelor's degree (or equivalent working/thinking level).
• A proactive mindset, keen on solving problems and seeking continuous small improvements.
• Strong communication skills to align people and ideas, even in complex environments.
• Eagerness to grow in Agile practices and support team development step by step.
• Scrum certification like PSM I or CSM is a plus, or a strong motivation to get certified.
• Comfort working with or around tech teams, and an interest in digital product development.
• Some familiarity with tools like Jira or similar project management software.

Your Team at Realworks

You will work closely with Product Owners to refine backlogs, establish priorities, and keep business goals in focus. You will also align the broader Agile approach with the Management Team. Collaboration with other Scrum Masters, such as Willem, is encouraged to share best practices and foster continuous improvement.
