About the Role

Join Real Hires as a Level 2 Network Engineer working remotely from your home. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain high-performance, secure networks for clients across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise networks including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
  • Configure routers, switches, wireless access points and work with Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Manage firewalls and network security systems, including Meraki, SonicWall, and Palo Alto.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot network performance using tools like SolarWinds, NetFlow, and Wireshark.
  • Lead infrastructure projects and coordinate with vendors for seamless upgrades and integrations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and manage change processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in network engineering with enterprise network and firewall focus.
  • Proficient in Cisco, Meraki, Aruba and firewall platforms.
  • Solid grasp of network security protocols (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA are highly desirable.
  • Cloud networking experience (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Proofpoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
