This Senior Software Engineer role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of a leading editorial messaging platform. You will take ownership of enhancing pipelines, notification systems, email functionalities, and platform orchestration, delivering resilient and highly efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Improve and optimize editorial and marketing messaging pipelines and associated tooling.
• Take complete ownership of specific systems within the platform, making autonomous architectural decisions and leading deployment processes.
• Enhance observability practices and multi-region orchestration capabilities to ensure robust and resilient operations.
• Proactively recommend technology, product, and cost optimizations to management to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Provide essential support to the team during on-call rotations, typically occurring every 6–8 weeks for a 2-week duration.

Essential Skills

• Strong foundational experience with TypeScript, React, Go (Golang), and AWS infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to significantly optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, crucial for working within a global team.
• Proven experience in improving development tooling, pipelines, and overall developer efficiency.
