Overview

As the Business Operations Support Specialist (12 month contract) for Wealth Management IT Application Support at RBC, you will support a number of applications, including Avaloq, the core banking system used by Wealth Management Asia Business and Functional units.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with the application support team lead and members to ensure the safety and soundness of application environments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing L1 and L2 functional and technical support to end users.
  • Managing daily operations based on SLAs and coordinating activities across various groups.
  • Supporting daily Day End Process, investigating and resolving issues.
  • Coordinating with vendors or higher-level support (L2/3) for production issues.
  • Conducting UAT and PIV for ad hoc or monthly releases.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in application support or business analysis in banking/brokerage/investment.
  • Ability to quickly understand international business requirements and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with remote teams in global banking.
  • Avaloq experience.
  • Good knowledge of trading connectivity, market infrastructure, and financial markets regulations.
