Job Description

Senior Recruiter, Financial Planning

In this role, you will partner with Financial Planning for Quebec to recommend qualified candidates for employment, playing a key role in developing the P&CB workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative recruiting support to hiring managers by developing and maintaining working relationships to understand current and future recruitment needs.
  • Proactively generate a candidate pipeline through various sourcing channels including internal postings, internet recruiting, proactive networking, employee referrals, campus recruiting, job fairs, and initiating other channels as appropriate.
  • Identify appropriate sources and work with those sources to attract qualified candidates.
  • Educate, consult, and transfer knowledge on staffing processes, diversity, interviewing techniques, and legislation to hiring managers.
  • Review resumes and/or conduct phone interviews to ensure candidates meet recruitment criteria.
  • Leverage behavioral interviewing techniques, conduct interviews, and provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the interview process.
  • Gather and provide feedback/recommendations to both the candidate and the hiring manager regarding the candidate's strengths and development needs to determine and select the most qualified candidate.
  • Manage information and the recruitment process through the Applicant Tracking System (Workday), ensuring all information is up-to-date and activity is updated regularly.
  • Participate in special staffing-focused projects as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

Requirements:

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required, as you will regularly interact with partners and potential candidates across Canada.
  • Recruitment lifecycle experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a proven ability to provide value-added consultative service.
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency; multitasking skills.
  • Experience working with e-recruiting tools and behavior-based interviewing techniques.
  • Must possess strong sourcing, networking, and lead generation skills to locate candidates with hard-to-find skills in local and other markets.
  • Attention to detail.

Assets:

  • Financial Planner designation.
  • Recruiting experience within the banking or retail sector is preferred.
  • Proven experience generating reports using Excel.
