About the Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst position at RBC involves delivering high-performing applications within the Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime IT team. This role focuses on managing investigations, case management workflows, and suspicious transactions regulatory submissions as part of Global Functions Technology. You will work closely with partners across Risk, Finance, HR, and other business domains.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather requirements.
  • Document current and future state process maps and business requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis against project objectives and industry standards like ISO 20022.
  • Create detailed business and technical requirement documents and use cases.
  • Support UAT through test case definition and validation.
  • Maintain project artifacts including user stories and workflow diagrams.
  • Facilitate business sessions and develop strategic training plans.
  • Provide consulting services and escalate issues where necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in business systems analysis and software development.
  • Expertise in data mapping, SQL, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Big Data, Terra Data platforms and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge in Agile methodologies including Jira and user story creation.
  • Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and financial crime offenses.
