Overview

The Manager, Product Insights & Competitive Research at RBC is responsible for expanding the product insights ecosystem by gathering competitive and industry information, analyzing its impact on RBC Insurance products, and influencing day-to-day and strategic decision making. This role collaborates with Distribution, Digital, Strategy, Marketing, and Operations teams across RBC Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain accurate accounts of competitor products, features, and pricing/repricing activities.
  • Create analytical storytelling and standardized reports to show market position and product competitiveness.
  • Produce insights and key messages for Product and Distribution partners to drive sales and support new product ideas.
  • Build and expand product-focused intelligence assets, databases, and repositories.
  • Conduct systematic analysis of industry trends using third-party reports and market research.
  • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert in stakeholder meetings to address emerging business needs.

Requirements

Must-have: 3-5 years experience in research/insights or business/strategy analysis; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent report writing, presentation, verbal and written communication; customer focus and organizational skills; strong business acumen and technical aptitude.

Nice-to-have: Experience in the life insurance industry; knowledge of multiple product categories such as Individual Insurance, Group Benefits, Travel, and/or Creditor Insurance.
