Opportunity
Join RBC Capital Markets’ AI & Digital Engineering team as a Junior AI Engineer and contribute to shaping the strategic direction of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. In this dynamic role, you will work on global financial markets, collaborate with high-performing teams, and gain exposure to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML models for financial challenges.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept projects and rapid prototyping.
- Support documentation, testing, and performance tuning of AI models.
- Participate in team discussions to refine AI strategies and ensure compliance.
Requirements
Must-have: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; 1-5 years of Python coding experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy; familiarity with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch); exposure to NLP and image processing techniques; awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Nice-to-have: Advanced degree, familiarity with Blockchain, AWS SageMaker or Azure ML; exposure to AI/ML use cases in financial forecasting or fraud detection.
